Golmaal Again Box Office Collection Day 2 Audiences Are Flocking To Watch This Ajay Devgn Film

Golmaal Again has had a smashing start at the box office with the film earning Rs 30.14 crore on day 1. Despite the mixed reviews, audiences are flocking to theaters to watch the multi starrer. The appeal of masala comedy films among the masses and its ensemble star cast seem to have worked in Golmaal Again’s favour. The film is directed by Rohit Shetty and stars Ajay Devgn, Parineeti Chopra, Tabu, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Kunal Khemu, Prakash Raj, Sirshak Shrestha and Neil Nitin Mukesh. Golmaal Again does have formidable competition in the form of Aamir Khan’s Secret Superstar and Vijay’s Mersal but it should do well in the coming days.

Golmaal Again is the fourth installment in the Golmaal franchise. It began with 2006 film Golmaal: Fun Unlimited. Golmaal Again also marks the tenth collaboration between Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty. Film distributor Akshaye Rathi had earlier said, “I can easily predict the film to do around Rs 22 crores to Rs 25 crores on day one and by the weekend, the numbers would go up to Rs 75 crores easily.”

Indian Express film critic Shubhra Gupta had given an average review, “For someone like me, no fan of the franchise, there’s usually very little to like in the ‘Golmaal’ films. And this time around too, I had resigned myself to a couple of hours of deja-view. But I have to say that the addition of a few new faces, and moving the location from the beaches of Goa to the green slopes of Ooty, helped freshen things up. And though there were the familiar risible lines about people who can’t speak, and a creepy running thread about older men and girls young enough to be their daughter, the usual slew of jokes were not as tasteless. A couple led to actual laughter.”
